Love Is: Safe

LOVE IS: SAFE (ALWAYS PROTECTS)

1 CORINTHIANS 13:7 (NIV) “It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

I was snuggling up with my husband the other night and as his arm was wrapped over me all I could think of was how safe I felt. Not just physically safe, but how safe I feel spiritually and emotionally with him as well. This was one of things that stood out the most to me when we were dating. I always felt protected! I was guarding my heart from the beginning of dating, but I began to notice he was protecting it as well. By protecting your purity, your faith, & your emotions he is guarding your heart.

Women long for physical, financial, and emotional protection. When we feel safe, we feel loved. Love protects emotionally because it understands the sensitive nature of others. Emotional protection allows children to grow up feeling loved & safe to express their feelings. For me, expressing emotions is not something I’ve always been good at but because my husbands has created a safe environment for me to do so, it allows me to feel protected when I am in a vulnerable state.

Love protects our faith/relationship with God. I think this one is crucial to know for women who are single and/or dating. I love the saying, “they’re either drawing you closer to God, or drawing you further away. There’s no in-between.” The man God has for you will draw you closer to Him. You will see your faith grow & your relationship with God grow. They protect your faith by not letting anything get in the way of your walk with God. They remind you of who you are because of whose you are.🖤
